"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream." — C.S. Lewis
The reason why I want to learn Swift programming is that I have been using Apple products for 25 years, so it feels natural to develop for Apple platforms. I started with "Karel the Robot" challenges and took my first steps in "Swift Playgrounds". Meanwhile, I bought the "Swift Handbook" by Thomas Sillmann and started reading. This is how my journey began in December 2023.
Almost one year later, I realized that learning to code is not a straight path and that you have to learn many things in parallel. To cut a long story short I made a list of my progress. The biggest mistake I made was my consequent language hopping and loosing focus on my primary goal.
I wanted to develop apps for iPhone and macOS not being a Fullstack developer ;-)
Back on track I am focusing on Swift again and "Xcode 16" is turbocharging my coding speed. It's so much fun and
it's free!
I will keep updating my progress.
